Update

Dear friends and family,

Thank you for your comments! Special thanks to Ms Bowers' 4th grade class at Barre Town for their comments and support.

We have had a whirlwhind trip through Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. We are now near a state park just south of Dallas, on our way today to Carlsbad, NM where our trip slows down a bit. (Our thanks to MacDonald's for its free wifi). Edith (our GPS) continues to be annoyed with our frequent changes in direction, but she has been a great help in finding good lunch spots (see Gus's Hot Dogs in Alabama).

A few highlights: Tallulah Gorge in Georgia. An afternoon and night with Isabel, James, Eva and Aliyah selecting new chicks for Eva to raise. The herons and jumping fish at the campground in Mississippi. The Statehouse in Jackson, MS. Crossing the Mississippi River at Vicksburg, arriving in the flatlands of Louisiana. A magnificent and slightly alarming wind and rainstorm at the campground last night. The realization that we are all having a good time together on our adventure.
