Gus' view

Today we arrived at the campground in Pennsylvania. We have only been here about two half hours and I’m already so excited! Tomorrow we will go to Gettysburg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It took 5 hours to get here. In the car we listened to podcasts and CD’s. That kept us occupied for most of the ride. Once we got here it did not take long at all to set up the camper. I could set it up AND take it down by myself , it’s that easy. 

Guess what we’re having for dinner? Sausage, Peppers ,Coleslaw , and Onions. It was very good. After that we had smores. If you forgot what smores are it is a Marshmallow, two Gram crackers and two Hersheys chocolate. you eat it like a sandwich.

The next day we went to Gettysburg. First we went to a Museum all about the battle. In there was a little movie theatre. The movie was about how each sides approach was. And how they put out their different  Troops.  After that we bought a CD so we could do a guided tour. There were arrows to show you where to go to see the sight it wanted you to see. There were sixteen stops total. One stop was where the Union troops got to before the confederate troops got to on the top of a hill.  You want to be at the top of a hill rather than at the bottom of a hill, because it’s harder to attack from the bottom than from the top. We also saw were they buried the soldiers who fought  in the civil war. They put the soldiers who died in order by their state.
